On this hill, there are also several historic buildings, such as the Roman Catholic church Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur with its majestic white dome that rises so high that it can be seen from the Arc de Triomphe. This building is also the second most visited monument, of course, after the Eiffel Tower.

However, the popularity of this church is still inferior to the Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur. To reach Montmartre hill, you have to climb 237 steps.

Montmartre has also been the place to film various movie titles, the most famous being Beauty and the Beast. Around this hill there is also a vineyard, precisely on Rue Saint-Vincent. Here, there is a tradition of grape harvesting each year which reaches more than 500 kg of the total harvest. Place du Tertre is also visited by tourists, even day and night.
Montmartre has become a special district in Paris. In fact, Montmartre has officially become a historic district so that all kinds of development in Montmartre are severely restricted by the local government so that the historical value contained there is not lost. Some development that is needed is the construction of transportation routes to and from the hills.
In addition to climbing hundreds of steps, you can also reach Montmartre using the cable tram. This tram must climb up and down steep slopes every day to bring tourists to and from Montmartre. Besides trams, there are also buses that can carry tourists. The bus line is made spiraling around the hill.
